Glossary in Engagement Survey

A list of specific terms and their definitions used in the engagement survey.

    • Respondents: Employees who respond to the engagement survey.
    • Author: The one who creates and manages an engagement survey, including managing respondents.
    • Co-author: The author can make other account admins and app profile admins as co-authors, allowing them the same abilities as an author.
    • Push to template library: The author can push the engagement survey template to the template library and make it available to other account admins and app profile admins.
  • Assignments: The author can share an engagement survey in the form of assignments.
  • Recurrence: The author can schedule the assignments to recur at regular intervals.
    • Driver questions: Driver questions are used to calculate the engagement index. They pinpoint specific issues or trends impacting employee engagement.
    • Baseline: The baseline serves as a reference point to compare responses and track changes in employee engagement over time.
    • Engagement index: The engagement index is used to assess the overall engagement level of employees within an organization.
  • Favourability distribution: Favorability distribution shows how employees respond to engagement survey questions, highlighting favorable, neutral, or unfavorable feelings about their work culture.
  • Favorability score: The favorability score accurately reflects employee sentiment. 
  • Heat map: A heat map visually represents the distribution of responses using shades of red and green. Darker areas indicate higher satisfaction, while lighter areas indicate lower satisfaction.
  • Tile: The tile represents a table on the analytics page.
  • Themes: Themes are the sections within the analytics page that provide a focused view of specific engagement survey-related data and insights.
  • Delta: Delta represents the difference between the favorability score of a question or section and its respective baseline.
  • Question type: The author can use various question types in an engagement survey to gather responses from respondents. These question types are designed to capture specific data. It includes:
    • Agreement choice: Allow respondents to select a single option. The author can mark it as a driver question.
    • Employee net promoter score (eNPS): eNPS measures employee satisfaction and engagement by categorizing responses into three groups: detractors (0-6), passives (7-8), and promoters (9-10).
    • Text: Allow respondents to provide open-ended responses with text input.
